Akshay Kumar’s comedy blockbuster Housefull 5 is inching closer to the ₹170 crore mark at the Indian box office. Despite slowing down in its third week, the film has maintained a strong hold in theaters since its release on June 6, 2025.

Strong early run, now slowing

Released June 6, Housefull 5 began with a robust opening, hitting approximately ₹165 crore (net India gross) by Day 13 (June 19) 

On Day 14 (June 20), it added around ₹2.8 crore, bringing the India net total to ~₹168.1 crore.

Day 15 (June 20) collections stood at roughly ₹1 crore, taking India net overall to ₹168.1 crore (collections beyond June 20 still accumulating)

Competition & Slowdown

With Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par releasing on June 20, Housefull 5 has seen a dip in daily earnings, now below ₹1 crore on weekdays. However, trade analysts believe the film has already recovered its cost and delivered a strong theatrical run.

Housefull 5 continues the successful legacy of the franchise and stands as one of the major hits of 2025, proving once again Akshay Kumar’s box office pull in comedy cinema.
